Footprints 365 Charity Organisation, a nongovernmental organization has bequeathed a two units block to serve as Kindergarten to Kwahu Bokoruwa Presbyterian Primary School in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern region. Interacting with news editor for EIB’s Agoo FM, Mrs. Dorothy Gyebi Ababio Appah, founder of the NGO explained that their vision is to empower the next generation through education, providing meals, shelter and health access to every child. She said the organization comprises Footprints UK and Footprints Ghana with headquarters located in the United Kingdom but has branches in Accra and Tema. According to her Footprints 365 sponsors some schools in Burma Camp in the Greater Accra region and Bokuruwa in the Eastern Region. Mrs. Ababio Appah also said Footprints 365 assists parents of children in their care establish businesses and acquire artisanal skills.
Commenting on the Bokuruwa project the founder asserted that they had observed some buildings of the Presbyterian Primary School were dilapidated and at the verge of crumbling so that inspired the organization to put up the two units block with washroom and kitchen facilities.
Also speaking to the news editor, Mr. Boateng Opreations Director for Footprints 365 Ghana orated that the whole idea for the project began in the year 2011, so the team solicited for funds from willing individuals and philanthropists who readily assisted for the construction of the blocks.
Yearning for more information on the Presbyterian Primary School at Bokuruwa, Agoo News as well spoke to Felecia Boatemaa Gyimah, headmistress of the school who said the school was established in the year 1917 by Presbyterian European missionaries explaining the school was the third among first three schools established in the Kwahu catchment area in those days. She also said the school was celebrating its one hundredth year anniversary and expressed appreciation to Footprints 365 Charity Organisation.
