President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo today joined the People of Saltpond at the Wesley Methodist Church to mark the 70th Anniversary of the formation of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC).

The Memorial and Thanksgiving Service also had in attendance Cabinet Ministers and all Ministers of State. All the Ministers parked their SUVS and came in three STC buses.

Most Rev Asante Antwi, the officiating Clergy at the Memorial and Thanksgiving Service for the Establishment of the UGCC made a passionate appeal to the Invisible Forces in the NPP to seize fire and to have faith in the President and party to resolve all their grievances.

He added that the formation of the UGCC some 70 years ago had as one of its major objectives, the unity of the Country.

To that end, the Clergyman called on the People of Ghana to unite behind the vision of the current government and to support all its several policies that are to be roles out. He made the call when he delivered his sermon at the Service.
