Regional feeder Roads Manager inspects “Banka-Kofi-Dede –Aprahwiem” road: recommends abrogation of contract


The Eastern regional feeder roads manager, Ing.Seth Osei Nketia has inspected 4.2km Banka – kofi dede Aprahwem feeder road, within Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The bad nature of the road has negatively affectted life within these communities. School Pupils at Kofi Dede and Aprahem are the worst affected whenever it rains. Pupils and teachers find it difficult to swim across the Asona stream to school during the raining season. This parent’s say has seriously affected the performance of their wards.

The road which was awarded to Messrs Boboja works in the year 2012 was to be completed in 12 months..The contract meant to do what the engineer term “spots improvement” was to cost the tax payer GHC 373,000.

. According to him for over 4years now the contractor has done 29.5% of the project and collected Ghc 114080.20 as part payment. He further added , He will recommend to entity  tender committee to abrogate the contract since the contractor fails to fulfill his part of the bargain
