The new District Chief Executive for Kwahu East, Hon Isaac Agyapong has assured to put things in place to develop the district by providing social infrastructure and amenities for the communities.
According to him, the district has a population of over 80,000 and about 67% of these people live mostly in villages adding that, the roads are very poor but he expressed much optimism to fix them to pave way for farmers and market women who commerce to gain easy access on their day to day activities.
‘’We don’t have quality roads in our district and I am going to work hard to fix them, most of our farmers and traders will then have the opportunity to trade and I’m sure this will bring development in their daily lives’’ he expressed.
Touching on education in terms of infrastructure, Hon Isaac Agyapong expressed much worry over the state of certain schools in the district saying, we will work hard to address all these problems to enable our kids get access to quality educational system.
He also maintained that, ‘’teacher motivation’’ will be one of his primary focuses through ‘’district best teacher awards scheme’’ to encourage almost every teacher in rendering good service, impacting knowledge into the minds of the students.
Speaking to Agoo news Ebenezer Kojo Nyavor (K-Lover) Tuesday 23rd May 2017 as part of the news team’s district chief executives (DCEs) first day at office coverage which took place yesterday, the Newly District Chief Executive for Kwahu East said, some communities lack accessibility to electricity but explained that, the assembly will as a matter of urgency address the electrification problems in the various affected areas.
