President Akufo Addo won’t score above 50% in his first 100 days – Amon Kotei

An assessment by Local Governance Expert Amon Kotei puts new administration led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Dr Mahamadu Bawumia below the periphery of fifty percent owing to brutalities of some party executives and vigilante groups since the government assumed office.

A group called the Delta Force known to be well aligned with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not long ago invaded a Kumasi Circuit Court whiles trial of some of their members was going on and freed them endangering even the life of the trial judge. He said “the cruel actions of some of these Party Executives and vigilante groups have become setbacks for the government leading to delayed Economic growth”.

Speaking on Agoo fm’s morning show “ene nso biem” hosted by Eugene Akoto Bamfo, the Local Governance Expert explained that negative escapades of these vigilante groups are the only issues which seem to be affecting performance and hindering progress of the ruling government so far. According to him it is crucial as they bother on serious security violation.

He also described certain statements made by Member of Parliament for Assin North Honorable Kennedy Agyapong and Ashanti  Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi as disastrous hence retarding advancement in delivery of the ruling government.

He believes that statements and comments sometimes made by these Party Executives do not promote Socio- Economic development and believes they are the master minds behind acts of hooliganism of vigilante groups causing havoc all over the country. There is break down of rule of law in the country, he observed.  Mr. Kotei suggested the president should swiftly initiate measures to hold back such sadistic conducts of these youth groups so as to ensure smooth governance. He advised that time and energy wasted by these hooligans causing havoc should be used instead for something profitable which will boost Economic Growth.
