I Was a Business Man Before I Became A King-Nana Effah Opinamang III


Nana Effah Opinamang III chief of Kwahu Obomeng and member of the Kwahu Traditional Council has revealed his real identity before ascending the prestigious Obomeng throne.

Known as Mr. Paul Effah Wadie in prrivate life, the monarch was a business magnate, entrepreneur and educationist. Nana Opinamang is founder and owner of Ansong Senior High School with campuses in Accra and Kwahu Obomeng. He was also into the management and sale of fisheries and travels abroad once every year for business purposes. The esteemed monarch is lord over large farm lands as well.

According to Nana Opinamang, although certain impediments came his way when there was the need to choose a new king for the Obomeng people as in such matters rivalry is inevitable, the Almighty God saw him through and he was eventually sworn in.

Speaking with Eugene Akwasi Akoto Bamfo on Agoo Fm’s “ene nso biem” the Kwahu Obomeng monarch boasted of the hefty territory and business oriented subjects he presides over saying his kingdom comprises about 50 towns and villages.

Answering to a question as to the song he likes best, Nana Opinamang III said although he listens to music he follows rhythms, especially songs that soothe and provide comfort. He however disclosed he normally listens to songs composed by Kofi Sarpong as a result of his Presbyterian background.

Nana Effah promised a new era of flourishing business activities and creation of important developmental projects for the entire Kwahuman. He also said he will champion the construction of roads and a modern bridge over River Afram to facilitate smooth movement for traders in the area. He gave assurance that his palace will welcome investors and all persons who wish to build business empires, promote trade and commerce on his land.
