Communications Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern region has called on the new administration under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to arrest and prosecute former government officials in the former administration who are found culpable of corruption.
He said this on Agoo fm’s evening news, “Na Wo Ka No Sen” with Nana Yaa Mirekua as the anchor declaring his support for some perceived fanatics of the NPP kicking officials of the former administration out of office with immediate effect.
According to Mr. Prah, some Metropolitan and Municial District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) are allegedly ransacking state property and exhibiting acts of disrespect to Ghanaians who visit their offices accusing them of voting for the NPP and not the NDC during the December 7 2016 elections.
He explained leaders of the erstwhile government grumbling over the issue of directives for MMDCEs to leave office immediately are the same people who in the end would be found guilty of looting state funds and owning properties outside the country. He lamented over the fact that some officials of the former government are still approving contracts and cited Dr. Stephen Opuni former Cocoa Board head as an example.
The ace politician accused chairman of the NDC, Mr. Kofi Portuphy and general secretary, Mr. Asiedu Nketia of using their influence of their state offices to benefit immensely at the expense of the Ghanaian taxpayer.
He pleaded with President Akuffo Addo to expedite action and prosecute all dishonest and crooked office holders of the out gone administration.
