The zone eight match of the Eastern Regional 2nd division in Kwahu West yesterday ended abruptly at the Mpraeso Park.
Due to continuous violence, the game between Believers Fc and Storm Accademy could not travel through the full duration of the game whilst Storm Academy were leading 2 goals to zero.
The two sides had played 26 minutes in the 2nd half of the game when the centre referee awarded an infringement in favor of the home side who were then leading by 2-0.
Players, officials and fans of Believers Fc protested against the infringement resulting in the Public Relationship Officer of Believers beating the assistant referee 1 of the game mercilessly.
After the violence, the RFA chairman for Eastern Region, A.A Lawal who was there as a representative and the centre referee concluded the match be called off.
