Moody’s Rating is good-Samuel Ampaw

Financial Analyst Mr. Samuel Ampaw has said it is good that Ghana has moved on to another level on the economic stability ladder.

Speaking with Eugene Akoto Bamfo on “Ene Nso Biom” he said the Moody rating from B3 negative to B3 positive is only good for the county’s international integrity, the government of Ghana can now check its fiscal policy.

He said ordinary Ghanaians can benefit from the rating if the said economic stability is maintained for a minimum of 10 years because this is fiscal consolidation and the government must be careful with the economic growth in the country.

Mr. Samuel Ampaw explained that the lectures on state of the economy presented by Dr. Mahamud Bawumia, running mate for the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are politically driven and cannot be relied on but said confidently there is some truth in Moody’s rating.
