The Regional Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brong Ahafo Mr. Elias Spheir has said parliamentary candidate for the Atebubu constituency Hon. Sanja Nanja has finally launched his campaign with national and constituency executivesof the party at Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region.

Speaking with Eugene Akoto Bamfo on “Ene Nso Biom” he said the whole constituency was moved to support the campaign which was very encouraging saying confidently that the parliamentary seat belongs to Sanja Nanja. He explained that it is true the Chiefs and Elders of Atebubu banned Hon. Nanja from campaigning in the constituency or attending public functions until he apologises to the Chiefs as a result of his conduct of gross disrespect towards them.

According to Mr. Spheir overtures made by honorable Sanja Nanja together with executives of the party have been accepted by the chiefs and elders, there is peace in the constituency as we speak.

Mr. Elias said he can say on authority that the chiefs have accepted Sanja Nanja in good faith so he can continue propagating the good message he has for the people.

He lamented that “the Chiefs didn’t attend the launch simply because this is a typical political programme that shouldn’t involve the chiefs” but said he is happy there is peace at last. He said after the launch, the people promised to vote massively for Nanja and the NDC come election 2016 in December.
