The leading telecommunications provider in the country, Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), yesterday at Koforidua held a forum for news editors in the Eastern region to explain their accomplishments as part of their 20th anniversary.
Speaking to the media, the Eastern Regional Manager of MTN, Mrs. Cynthia Lomoh explained some services they offer to Ghanaians which included payment of bills, mobile money, 4G which is the maiden discovery among other services and added they are still working hard to accomplish more as Technology is gradually gaining strength in every country for developmental processes.
The company has so far earmarked an additional US$18million to specifically deploy the 4G service across the country.
The General Manager of the telecommunications giant, Mrs. Cynthia Lomoh briefing the media on the 4G service, was hopeful the service would transform lives in terms of education, entertainment, productivity and also change the fortunes of telecommunications market in Ghana as well as telecommunication interactions among Ghanaians.
She added that in the course of their work as a telecommunications company, they have confronted a lot of challenges which have made their work very hectic and costly.
Some of the challenges she mentioned were load shedding, fiber cut, bad road network, their batteries being stolen but was quick to add they are working assiduously to solve such challenges to be effective and render perfect services to their customers.
