I am still an actor – Mr. Beautiful

Ghanaian actor, Clement Bonnie, known in the entertainment circles as ‘Mr. Beautiful’ has stated that he is still acting and has not in any way quit the screens as rumored.

In an interview with Space FM, Mr. Beautiful said although he is not a politician, he will forever remain an actor and a member of the ruling NDC.

“Mr. Beautiful will forever remain an actor and Mr. Beautiful will forever remain an NDC member. I am not a politician; I am a Ghanaian. Every individual with a vision sees clearly who has a vision. It has always been my wish to see Ghana the way I see other European countries. So if someone comes with a vision that will champion for the course of a better Ghana I will support him. And that person is President Mahama.”

The outspoken comedian maintained that his appearance on the NDC platform won’t affect his career in the showbiz industry.

He was active in the party’s campaign during the 2012 elections. His involvement in politics especially joining the NDC party has cost him a lot in the movie industry to the extent of not being featured in movies especially the local (Twi) movies.

The talented actor is the Project Coordinator for ‘Celebrities for Mahama’, a project initiated by president Mahama that seeks to better the welfare of Ghanaian veteran actors and musicians.

Some veteran actors such as Ewurama Badu, Kohwe, C.K. Mann, J.A Adofo, Paapa Yankson, Mr. Mensah, and William Addo, have benefitted from “Celebrities for Mahama” project.

Mr. Beautiful is currently with President Mahama on his “Accounting to the people tour”.
